Bench for the Salone del Pubblico (G. Ulrich)

Among the most valued furnishing elements, this bench, created from a drawing by the Architect Guglielmo Ulrich, forms part of the furnishings destined for public use and entertainment in Palazzo Uffici.

The sole survivor of a set of ten that suffered under military occupation and war damage, it was destined to furnish the public hall (today Salone delle Fontane).
The characteristic volume of its seat, with its light walnut veneer, the slightly drawn back and bronze coated floor connection, the dynamic element given by the wavy brass support/backrest, make it a particularly beautiful piece of design.
Recently restored, it now stands at the top of the monumental staircase on the first floor of the building.

Recentemente restaurata, è collocata all'arrivo dello scalone monumentale al primo piano del Palazzo e, nel corso degli anni, è stata concessa in prestito per diverse esposizioni: "Novecento. Arte e vita in Italia tra le due guerre" (Forlì, 2 febbraio - 16 giugno 2013); "Dolce vita? Dal Liberty al design italiano (1900-1940)" (Parigi, Museo d'Orsay 14 aprile - 16 settembre 2015); "Dolce vita? Dal Liberty al design italiano (1900-1940)" (Roma, Palazzo delle Esposizioni 16 ottobre 2015 - 17 gennaio 2016).
