Parco del Turismo

Total surface area: 95,150 m2.

The Parco del Turismo, filled with majestic conifers, is located on the West side of the district. Bordered by what is now Viale Romolo Murri on one side, by Via delle Tre Fontane to the North and by Viale di Val Fiorita in the direction of the Magliana underground railway station, it has the shape of a large leaf.

Like the nearby Parco del Ninfeo, Parco del Turismo also features the presence of various types of planting, which alternate in a well-balanced way. The paved areas and decorative elements, of undoubted value, give the area a very attractive form of landscape.

High quality decorative elements, foremost among which the large fountain-stele by the sculptor Ercole Drei depicting Life in the fields and the bas-relief sculptures by Bellini, originally destined for the Agricultural Exhibition, that decorate the avenues in the Park that houses the, recently restored, building used as an open-air library in the 'Sixties.
